This is likely to comply with COPPA, which was passed by congress in 1998. Hopefully I get an answer to this and maybe even some action. Come down on the servers that break the rules, But don't restrict such a useful and easy to use method of group communication, As it simply is unnecessary and harming to the reputation of discord from an out look, As that discord have to restrict it to 13+ because they don't have the ability to come down on those who violate the terms and services. Sometimes, they are a better input than the older people.
I have many friends who are Under 13 and yet are very positive on discord and cause no harm and have no harm caused to them. Maybe I am missing something, But from my perspective, It should be the responsibility of the server owner to make sure the server is suitable for people that age, And then take action accordingly. I, And many other discord users have found this rule pointless. Recently the No Under 13 rule has come out. This is hopefully for discord to hear and understand, As well as maybe change things from this comment.
